Post #5 - Sleek Contour Kit!

Hello!
I am so excited about today's post as it is one I have wanted to do for ages! As some of you may know I am still in school and not old enough to even have a part time job therefore I live on £10 a week that  I receive from my parents for doing jobs around the house. I don't mind this but it does mean that buying beauty products can be very hard, especially from high end brands!
Taking this into consideration, I find product that do more than one thing are great! And finally this leads me on to the product today's post is based on the ...
Sleek Face Form Kit!

This is an amazing product! I has a Matte brown contour shade that doesn't make you look like you have a dodgy spray tan, a very stubble highlight shade that makes you look like you have an inner glow instead of glitter pressed on to your cheeks and also I blush shade that has a gorgeous gold fleck running through it that doesn't make you look like a toddler has doodled on you face!

I have this kit in Light as I am fare skinned but it also comes in Medium and Dark (shocker I know ;) ) Normally when it comes to bronzers and me because of how pale I am it can look really fake and out of place but this blends into my skin perfectly and doesn't look odd at all! The blush and highlight are lovely in this palette making this a great travel piece as well, but I contour shade is the main reason I love this palette!

What do you think about this palette? Have you tried it or want to? Let me know in the comments below!

Post #4 - Elegant Touch All Sorts Review!

Hello!

Fake nails is something I have never really ventured into. I love painting my nails and almost have to as I will bite them with out nail polish on, another weird fact about me, but I have never thought of wearing fake nails.

I was in Tesco's and saw a pack of elegant touch nails and thought maybe I should try them? I had a concert the next day and I had really chipped nail varnish, no time to paint them and need something I could do on the go, so I picked them up.

Honestly I have mixed views, they are lovely patterned nails (my favourite is the one with horizontal stripes) and they have good staying power but the instructions where quite brief and honestly it was more guessing how to apply them then a step tp step guide. Also the adhesive tabs where quite long and i learn the hard way that you were meant to cut them to your nail size as everything, and I mean EVERYTHING stuck to my nails making me look a bit grotty!

Overall I would buy again as the product was good but think they should make it a lot clearer on how to use them because not everyone is a fake nail expert e.g. me!

What do you think about fake nails? Love or Loathe? Let me know in the comments! Also please check out my blog it's EllaHemming.Blogspot.co.uk

Post #3 - The 5 brushes everyone needs!

Hello!

Today I thought I would go through the 5 brushes I believe every man or woman should in their makeup collection! I have included high end and high street / drugstore brushes for all brushes apart from one.

So let's get started ...

This is my favourite brush for foundation. I have the Zoeva one and I use it pretty much every single day. It gives me a high coverage plus it is a very quick way of blending in your foundation. I have a post coming up soon on this so watch out for it.
This is the only brush I don't have a high street version because there is not a single brush that comes close to the mac. this is great for filling in eyebrows, especially when you do it in little brush strokes as it create the illusion of eyebrow hairs. Also this is my favourite brush in the whole wide world for creating winged eyeliner. I couldn't live without this brush!
(Zoeva do do a version called 371 but it is isn't as dense and not as easy to use but with practise and if on a budget this is the best alternative)
A blending brush for any smokey eye is essential and these brushes are the way to go! The Mac 217 is probably one of the most famous brushes around and with good reason. It is the best brush for blending out harsh lines on eye looks. Also I have notice that YouTuber's such as Tanya Burr have been using a fluffy brush like this to blend out con clear. The Mac is the best one but Zoeva do a great dupe it is just a little bit more scratchy.
Everyone need a powder brush, whether for just powdering the face to set or for a gentle all over use of bronzer, it is a must! My personal favourites are the two above but many companies do them and they are one of the only brushes that most brands do!
When applying a base colour to the lid you want it to be intense and dense. These are the best brushes for this effect. As they are flat they pack on the colour to the lid giving you the best colour pay off.

So there are my 5 brushes I believe everyone should own! Comment below if you own any or you know any others I should try!

Post #2 - The Best Mascara EVER!!!

Hello!

Today I thought I would share my love for one particular mascara! Anyone that knows me knows I am a mascara addict and won't leave the house without at least one coat on my lashes, and due to this addiction I have tried and tested many.

I have quite long lashes fortunately but my eyes are very watery, especially when it is windy or when my hay fever plays up. These two are bad put together, it means that my long lashes hit my skin around by eyes so rub all day and the watery eyes mean where they are rubbing the black tends to bleed.

I have tried so many mascaras's to try and erase this problem and be happy with my lashes and finally I have! I discovered it whilst reading Lou Teasdale's book The Craft. It is the ...
Max Factor 2000 Calorie Dramatic Volume Mascara in Black!

(Left 2 coats and right 1 coats)

It adds length and volume to your lashes but doesn't bleed! This photo really doesn't do it justice but I promise it is amazing! I love this mascara mainly because if I just want my lashes to look long and separated I can apply one coat but if I want fuller lashes with a slight clump ( the way I personally prefer them ) it easily done with two! It is just the BEST mascara.

What do you think about this mascara? Have you tried it or do you have any other recommendations? Let me know in comments below!
